Day #10

This is a poem written by Thax Douglas from Austin. Someone told me he is originally from Chicago, but anyway I think he's a bit of local legend - he wrote a poem about us on the spot and read it just before we went on.

FANFARLO
there's
room for just
    one more
species before
    the entire
    iron raindrop
       gyroscopes
    over like an
       exhausted
       metronome spinning
away as it forgets what
       time was like
    back there where
       what is now
    obviously an ark
       seemed like a
    bewilderingly
       overstocked
    hardware store
